Only 45 minutes from Cape Town is the pristine sixteen mile beach, Yzerfontein where
you can relax and enjoy the casual atmosphere of the beach setting and absorb the
natural surroundings of the magnificent West Coast.
Guests arrive and are asked to remove their shoes for them to feel the sand under
their feet. The ceremony takes place under a canopy erected on the beach with complementing
white washed seating with the Atlantic ocean as the backdrop. After the ceremony
rose petals and a glass of bubbly is handed to the guests before everyone is lead
by a local African acapella choir to their seats. Hints of sophistication are added
by damask table linen, printed table runners, flowers and candle lighting. Dinner
comprises a Seafood extravaganza accompanied by crisp vegetables, salads and fresh
out of the oven farm style bread which this region is renowned for. Live entertainers
or a DJ has guests tapping their feet long before the first dance. The evening draws
to a close around a big beach bonfire where guests re group on the sand toasting
marshmallows with the sounds of a guitarist in the background.
